-No reaction at 1/10 :Negative. No IgG class antibodies against Treponema pallidum detected in the patient sample. However,an infection cannot be excluded.
-Titer 1/10 or higher : Positive. Indicator of lues. Disease stage, activity and the need for treatment are to be assessed using other test parameters, e.g.determination of IgM antibody levels,VDRL.
-Twofold or even higher increase in titer within two weeks: Active lues infection. Secondary or reinfection not excluded.Requires treatment.
